Craft beer and live music go hand in hand and many of Virginia’s popular craft breweries are also known for being excellent live music destinations.
Hardywood Park Craft Brewery – Richmond, Va.
Hardywood is a music destination in its own right. The brewery hosts numerous many of Richmond’s finest bands every weekend and all-day music festivals throughout the year including A Good Day in RVA Festival, the Richmond Roots Festival and the Richmond Bluegrass Festival.
South Street Brewery – Charlottesville, Va. South Street is right in the middle of Charlottesville’s thriving music scene. The brewery hosts hosts live regional bands weekly and is also within a short walking distance of many of the city’s live music venues including the nTelos Wireless Pavilion, the Southern Café and Music Hall and the Jefferson Theater.
Brothers Craft Brewing – Harrisonburg, Va. Brothers Craft Brewing (originally Three Brothers Brewing) hosts live music regularly. The brewery also has a hand in the Rocktown Beer & Music Festival that takes place at Turner Pavilion and celebrates good beer and good music. This year’s event takes place on September 26.

Center of the Universe Brewing Company – Ashland, Va.
Ashland’s popular brewery features live music every Saturday as well as the Wednesday night Biergarten Concert Series. The brewey also hosts a number of excellent music festivals including the Summer Moon Music Festival.
Wolf Hills Brewing Company – Abingdon, Va. Wolf Hills hosts live music every Thursday-Saturday featuring many of the region’s popular bands. It also recently hosted the Howling Craft Beer & Music Festival.

Flying Mouse Brewery – Troutville, Va.
Flying Mouse typically has live bands on the weekends, and has at least one big event each quarter with two bands performing.
O’Connor Brewing Company – Norfolk, Va.
Hamptons Roads’ microbrewery offers live music from regional bands every weekend as well as a Vinyl Night, where beer drinkers can enjoy the sound of vintage vinyl and even bring in their own records.
